Do You Want to be Successful: 3 Areas You Need to Change in Your Life to Reach Success

Today, I want to talk about three important aspects of your life that need to be impacted for you to reach success. As I was reading about successful people, I noticed that your imagination, words and actions can determine whether you will reach your goals.

What comes to mind when you hear the names Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, or Mark Zuckerberg? Does the fact that they’re all wealthy billionaires come to mind? This is true because they have been blessed with an abundant amount of money and have been recognized as part of the elite 1% of top wealthy Americans. But in any case, I want you to look deeper and make an assessment of their qualities and traits.

These men had a purpose and a dream bigger than a giant. They worked hard and put blood, sweat and tears into their business and built a billion dollar empire from nothing. On their journey, many doubted their abilities and criticized their vision. But they never gave up and continued to sail forward until the dream was captured.

Three Areas Need Changing

Success comes in many different ways and forms. What’s interesting is that most successful people have similar qualities and traits and share similar beliefs. Below are the three areas I feel needed to be impacted. It’s important you evaluate yourself to determine if you possess strong qualities in these areas. And if not, that’s ok. It’s never too late to make a slight change and watch your life change for the better. 1) Your Imagination - Richard H Schuller said, “The only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking.” Your life will follow your most dominate thoughts. Therefore, you need to use positive thinking to yield the outcome you desire. You need to develop a positive attitude towards your life and success and not let negativity determine your life. 2) Your Words - How many of us tell ourselves we can’t accomplish a task and then end up believing it? Your words are powerful. Be careful of the words you speak because your words will determine the outcome of your life. Positive words of encouragement can help focus your mind on the end goal. They leave images in your subconscious mind, which will create good habits, behaviors and attitude, resulting in an increase of self-confidence. Life could be rough if you don’t watch your word. Therefore, you should be slow to speak and focus on listening first. Now, take a look at your life and ask yourself this question, “Are my words helping or hurting me?”

3) Your Actions – Your actions can breathe reality into your life. If you want to reach success, you need to change your actions, eliminate bad habits and act like the successful person you want to be. As Pablo Picasso said, “Action is the foundational key to all success”.

Successful people develop plans and the necessary steps to accomplish their goals. Successful people operate with a purpose and use it to motivate them during tough times. Your actions are important because we become what we repeatedly do.

How bad do you want to be successful? What are you willing to sacrifice to accomplish your goals? I’ve always believed the bigger the sacrifice, the bigger the reward. For example, a person who spends 15 hours per day on their business will most likely be more successful than a person that spends 2 hours per day. Your daily actions towards your dream will determine the outcome of your success.

Don’t let negative thoughts, negative words or negative actions stop you from reaching success. Don’t let laziness and discouragement paralyze you and make you inactive. Your attitude, thoughts and words should be a reflection of your vision. “The doer who acts, will be blessed in his doing.” James 1:25.
